Your plan

ConseilCore

4 modules tuned for this trade, switched on from day one.

  • Quotes & Factur-X invoicing
  • CRM & sales
  • Expenses & OCR
  • Accounting & FEC

On your hardware

  • iPad The invoice issued during the meeting.
  • iPhone Time and expenses logged on the spot.

Where it hurts

Before, after.

  • TodayThe quote is signed, and I re-key the whole thing into another tool to raise the invoice.

With PrivateCoreAn accepted quote becomes an invoice in one click: same lines, same amounts, same client, nothing to re-key. Numbering stays sequential per financial year, with no gap to explain to an inspector.

  • TodayChasing a client who has not paid is the thing I always put off until tomorrow.

With PrivateCoreOverdue invoices are spotted on their own and the message is written to match how late it is: a polite reminder first, then a firm one. You read it over and send, or hit "Chase now" without waiting. The formal notice, though, never goes out by itself: it waits for your approval.

  • TodayI scroll through my bank account to work out who has paid, and I pick the wrong transfer.

With PrivateCoreYou import the bank statement and the transactions match themselves against the invoices you issued, even when the wording is loose. Whatever finds no match is set aside for you to settle, instead of vanishing into the pile.

  • TodayMy receipts are in the glovebox, in my inbox and in a folder somewhere.

With PrivateCoreYou photograph the receipt and it is read on your own machine: date, amount, VAT and supplier pre-filled, the image goes to no outside provider. Travel is counted on the official mileage scale for the year, bracket by bracket, with your frequent trips saved once and for all.

4 more pains we cure
  • TodayEvery quarter I redo my VAT by hand, and I dread picking the wrong box or missing the date.

With PrivateCoreThe return is rebuilt box by box from your invoices: output VAT, deductible VAT, intra-EU reverse charge, distance selling. You get the form ready to copy onto the tax portal; it is not filed on your behalf. Deadlines are set once and come back on their own each period, and whatever is overdue rises to the top of the list.

  • TodayHow many hours did I put into this file this month? Let me go dig through my calendar.

With PrivateCoreTime is logged per file, at the hourly rate of that file, billable or not. When the time comes, unbilled hours turn into a fee note and the lines are locked: they never go out a second time. You finally see what each client brings in per hour spent.

  • TodayMy accountant asks for the paperwork in February, and I lose two evenings finding it all.

With PrivateCoreThe period pack exports as a single archive: FEC, journals and supporting documents. Your accountant can also come in through a dedicated portal and help themselves. Before you send it, a pre-check flags unbalanced entries, likely duplicates and unusual amounts: signals for you to settle, not verdicts.

  • TodayElectronic invoicing: I have been hearing about it for two years and I still do not know what I am supposed to do.

With PrivateCoreYour invoices already come out in the standard format, with machine-readable data attached to the PDF. Receiving is wired too: a supplier invoice in the right format is read and filed without you re-keying it. On the day the mandate lands, there is nothing to install in a hurry.

The math

What it replaces, and what it costs.

Public prices as of August and September 2026, entry-level plans, options excluded. The vendors' prices change: check their sites.

The gap

What we centralise, and they do not.

  • How many subscriptions

The usual stackAn invoicing tool, one for time tracking, one for expenses, a portal for the accountant, and soon a platform for electronic invoicing. That is a lot of contracts and passwords for one person.

PrivateCoreOne contract and one screen. Logged hours become the invoice, the invoice feeds VAT and the accountant pack: the chain already exists, there is no bridge to buy.

  • Where your data lives

The usual stackOn the vendor's servers. Your client list, your rates and your turnover, which is to say your entire business, sit with a third party.

PrivateCoreOn a machine at your place. The database is yours, it is backed up at your place, and nobody else reads what you invoice or who you invoice.

  • What it costs you when the year goes well

The usual stackA tier based on invoice or client counts, a surcharge the moment you go past it, sometimes a cut of what you collect: the harder you work, the higher the bill.

PrivateCoreA subscription that looks neither at your turnover nor at how many invoices you raise. You collect through your own bank as you do today, or through ours if the rate suits you better: optional, and you can go back.

3 more differences
  • Chasing late payments

The usual stackEither you write it yourself, one evening, weighing every word. Or an automated sequence goes out on its own, in the same tone for everyone, including the client you cannot afford to lose.

PrivateCoreThe draft is written to match how late the invoice is, and you keep control of the send. What carries legal weight, the formal notice, only goes out once you have approved it.

  • Artificial intelligence

The usual stackTo read a receipt or draft a reminder, your accounting document and your client name go off to an AI provider, and sometimes train its model.

PrivateCoreThe model runs on your machine. Reading the receipt, drafting the reminder, helping you write: nothing that produces them leaves your desk.

  • What is coming in 2026

The usual stackElectronic invoicing is announced as an option, or in a separate space to be fed by hand, with a migration to plan for the moment everyone else gets to it.

PrivateCoreIssuing in the standard format, receiving supplier invoices and archiving already live in the same tool as the quote, fed by the same lines.

FAQ

What we get asked.

I am a sole trader: does Factur-X concern me?

For receiving, yes (all businesses). For issuing, if you invoice B2B above the micro-BNC/BIC threshold, yes from 2027. PrivateCore is ready for both from 1 Sept 2026.

I do my quotes and invoices in Word or Excel: what do I need to change?

From September 2026, every business must be able to receive electronic invoices. For issuing, the obligation follows based on your size (2027 for SMEs and micro-businesses). A PDF out of Word will no longer be enough in B2B: PrivateCore issues compliant Factur-X by default and receives your suppliers' invoices.

I am coming from a spreadsheet or a freelancer tool (Freebe, Indy...): what about my data?

Guided CSV or Excel import: column mapping is detected, you check a preview before confirming, and the import can be rolled back. Your client base is back in place in minutes; your old PDF invoices are archived in the vault.

Compatible with Pennylane or my accountant?

Compliant FEC export, the format Pennylane, Sage or Cegid import, plus a monthly or quarterly accounting pack as a ZIP. On a Mac mini, your accountant can also get read-only remote access via Tailscale (encrypted, no file handling).

For a consultant who travels, does it work on a plane / in a hotel?

Yes. The mobile app works offline, syncs when the network returns. iPhone Tap to Pay if you bill per service.

VAT exemption (franchise en base), is it handled?

Yes: the mention "VAT not applicable, art. 293 B of the CGI" appears automatically on invoices, no VAT calculation. Automatic switch to standard VAT if you cross the threshold mid-year.

If I sell my business, can I recover my data?

Full ZIP export (PDF/A-3 invoices, accounting, customer base, deliverables) in one click. An open, reusable format for any other tool or buyer.
