What we get asked.
Which competitors does PrivateCore Garage replace?
Tekmetric, AutoFluent, Mitchell 1, Winmax (FR). Typical case: a full replacement of a workshop tool + Planity + a quoting module.
OEM manufacturer catalogues?
Native Tecdoc and Mecaparts connectors included (Pro option). For in-house catalogues (Renault, Peugeot…), CSV import or via their official API.
How does it work for courtesy vehicles?
Built-in Rental module: a fleet with real-time availability, a signed loan agreement, photo condition report on entry/exit, courtesy-to-repair-order ratio.
And roadworthiness-test / tax compliance?
On the tax side, garage VAT (margin or standard) is set per repair order and invoicing is NF525-compliant. On the roadworthiness side, if you are an approved test centre, the dedicated vertical handles checkpoints, verdicts and re-tests.
For a solo independent garage, is it too much?
No : SoloCore covers the basics (quotes, invoicing, online booking, loyalty). For the courtesy fleet + multi-mechanic bay scheduling, you move to BusinessCore.
Do you price claims instead of the loss adjuster?
No, and that is deliberate: the estimate stays with the adjuster and the insurer. PrivateCore imports their figures (PDF, photo or manual entry) and handles everything downstream: repair order, scheduling, parts with arbitrage, courtesy vehicle, invoice. The estimate never comes from us.
My mechanics are not fans of computers, will it fly?
It is built for them: clocking in takes one tap, the workshop kanban is a card you drag, and photos are taken on a phone. No endless forms between two oil changes.
